twelve

no, i will not. that is right, i will not write my poem on my blog, for three reasons: a. i do not want to. 2. it is a serious poem and this blog is not serious. c. i cannot think of a third reason but someone once said all good things come in threes. one thing i will respond to is my choice in underwear. i wear fruit of the loom boxer briefs and briefs, for those of you who know me well, you will know that i am very particular about my underwear and will only wear fruit of the loom. but for the sake of taste i will leave it at that for the talk of my choice in underwear. if you have any desire to know more about my undergarment philosophy ask me in person. speaking of philosophy i have two philosophical questions for all of you (i know i said that this was not a serious blog but for this you will have to let me make an exception). if you were a crayon what colour would you be and why? if you were a home appliance what would you be and why? i'm really sorry for bringing up questions that bring out the true personality of oneself and make one vulnerable and ask you to bare your soul on my web log, but i figure desperate times call for desperate measures. what makes this time desperate i do not know but will figure that out for my next blog.

hmmm, well i'd be the black crayon because it's like, the king of crayons. and I'd definately be a fridge, definately. Nothing beats a fridge. you know, one of those steel fridges. Yea, those are tough.

Graeme.

PS. Briefs are evil and boxer briefs are far far worse, they have to be straight from the devil.

you writing about your underwear made me gasp and cover my mouth and then giggle...i will put aside the feeling i have to call you my dad or grandpa though, and go straight to the philisophical questions. i would obviously be a pink crayon, why? obviously because they are the prettiest... and well... you know. as for an appliance...i think a dryer. why? simple, because they are always warm mmm warm, and they always smell pretty...who doens't want to smell pretty? yep, and thats the end.

i would be yellow.
because egg yokes are yellow.
i would be a washing machine.
because it spins things around under water. (like matt's underwear)

A green crayon for me. Green makes everything better. It's like not a complete picture until something is coloured green. Green makes life worth living. Its a sense of comfort in this world full of chaos.

I'd be a flashlight. For not particular reason.

I'd be beige - I have it from a reliable source that it is the new white. It works with everything. That's what I like to do - work with everyone - and make them look good.

I'd be a a dish washer - oh wait! I am.

ok, ok, ok, I've changed my mind. I'd be the red crayon because it's, like, the king of all crayons. and I'd definately be a blender. I'd get in there and just mix stuff up and leave people not knowing even which way their facing. Plus, I'd be compact and easily stored in a cupboard. and i'd have a lid!!! oooooooh, aaaahhhhh.

Hmm well i'm going to take credit for the questions... well at least the idea of putting them here... and to answer them...

1) IF i were a crayon i would choose chartreuse as my color for the simple reason that no one uses it unless they are coloring someone vomiting, which is rare. And since the color is rarely used i last a lot longer... and let's face it, i'm all about self-preservation. Sadly, however, i am NOT a crayon...

2)If i were a home appliance i would be a trash compactor... because i just hate garbage... and compacted garbage is so convenient because it takes up less space and is therefore less conspicuous...

With that said, i believe i now have the longest comment here thus far, putting Hez into second place... sucka!

ok so Matt i still like TOTALLY heart you and this blog was like the best one yet! i TOTALLY love crayons, i even would say that i >3 crayons almost as much as i >3 YOU! but your still WAY cuter than a crayon. I think you'd be the brown crayon because lots of puppies are brown and they are SOOO cute and so are you!

so i wanted to be highly original....i figured that since people were picking things like tangerine and chartreuse, i could come up with something better than 'blue'....so i was on msn.com, and reading the news....and i decided to punch into the Search box 'colour descriptions'........up pops benjaminmoore.ca....it was very interesting for all of you who like to watch paint dry or something like that.....now, instead of sitting and staring at your wall, you can get a little more technological and you can flip through colour samples on their website....at the top of the page, you'll see a button that says "Colour"...click on it and then you'll see on the left hand side "Colour Palettes"....click on that and you will be taken to a world of colour....and benjamin moore offers you such promise!! they're not just giving you a bunch of colour....oh no, their "luminous colour palette gives you clean, clear hues that will light up any room".....now THAT is something!! i wonder if it comes with a guarantee......you know when you buy something and they say that if you're not happy with it, they'll gladly take it back? i wonder if benjamin moore makes that kind of a promise...he seems pretty confident in the colours that he sells....oh, sorry wait....the HUES that he sells....so thanks to benjamin's help, i think i chose a colour...it's called "filtered sunlight".....did i choose it for any particular reason? it sounds different....so, to describe this colour, it's somewhere between pink, yellow and white.....they could have just called it that....but actually i'm sort of changing my mind as to what colour crayon i would be as i'm typing this...maybe if i were a crayon, my wrapper would be the colour of "filtered sunlight"....i think i'd actually rather be "caribbean blue"...cuz i like blue....and the caribbean sounds fun...ANYWAYS, as if benjaminmoore.ca wasn't exciting enough!! i went back to see what else my search in msn had come up with.....lo and behold, a site came up for rabbit coat colours! http://exoticpets.about.com/cs/rabbits/a/rabbitcolors.htm
i was so enthralled by this! i guess i made the assumption that bunnies were only black, white or brown.....oh, and maybe gray......and maybe the easter bunny wore nice overalls or something.....but according to this website, after i calmed down from my excitement at this finding, and took a moment to count.....there are lots of colours that your bunny could be! if you're planning on getting a little pet, little bunny foofoo....you have LOTS of options!!! if i counted right, there are 47 possible colours that Foofoo could be!! we're not talking just a couple, we're talking 47!! personally, i think i'd go for the "frosted pearl"....it's pearl with black, blue, chocolate or lilac shading....wait a sec...lilac shading? on a bunny????
anyways...moving on.......as for being an appliance......i don't think i have an answer surprisingly.....it's odd for me not to have something to say really.....but with that said, i will close by saying that, having now met you matt, i'm going to stick with my original gut instinct and say that you are in fact conceited...i would like to say that you have made it on to my list of friends.....but i don't think i can allow that.....instead, i choose to call you my foe.....
and with that said, i would like to say to dear mr. bruce that it is I who now has the longest comment on here...sucka!!!!

I'll be honest, I haven't read your blogs yet because I haven't had time. But I do think it's very cool you are the president at KLBC. I went there for two years. I know Heather-lynn and the family very well. They know me as Amanda Hickox (that is my maiden name) I loved KLBC soo much!!!!! I was the secretary on the student council team.
I will read your blog sometime..
ciao.
Dan's blog looks exactely like yours, what a copy cat. How do you know Dan anyway?

i can't wait to hear what the desperate time is. ppl love answering questions like these cause they get to talk about themselves...haha. that said...

a)i would say green but crayon green is too bright, i find. so i'll go with blue. i like to try to be different, and ironically no one has said blue yet...so i'll go with that. making me the most undifferent person ever because everyone likes blue.

b)i would be a teapot mostly because i like tea. so i would make people happy by giving them tea. also, people get attached to their quaint little teapots. they dont get attached to their appliances normally...but they'll be like...oh, our old teapot! teapots have character and so i guess that reveals my subconscious desire to have character. lol.

ps. i guess i will have to revert to grade 3 and sign "Amanda B." since there's another amanda here now! (welcome!)

A webpage that samples colours? That's just stupid!!! Everyone's monitor is set slightly different. So the colour you might think is "filtered sunlight" or "Tangerine Revoltion" may not be that colour at all... just play with with th RBG settings of your monitor and "Filtered Sunlight" can become "Puke Purple". fun times, stupid benjaminmoore.ca.

Colour? Purple... just cuz.

Appliance? Microwave... the ultimate in laziness appliances.
