the rainbow-pack. do you know what i am talking about? yesterday i had a problem, and it had everything to do with the rainbow- pack. for those of you who did not have a complete childhood and never experienced the rainbow-pack let me fill you in on it. it is a combination of: cream-soda, grape crush, orange crush and mug rootbeer. first a little history on the rainbow-pack, mug rootbeer was not always affiliated with the rainbow-pack infact the origional rootbeer of the rainbowpack was hires rootbeer. what has happend to hires i do not know, if anyone knows please tell me. the rainbow pack is six cans of each flavor sitting on a cardboard tray covered in plastic. last night me and the rainbow pack were reunited as my roomate walked in after his trip to no frills. my problem was i didn't know which flavour to have, i would pick up a grape crush, look at it but then think, oh i want cream-soda it has been so long since i enjoyed that unique taste, but then i would look at the orange and think of how the orange is always a good choice, and then the rootbeer would yell to me,"don't waste your time with those flavours, i've been your favorite pop since you were two years old" this is true ask my mother. this made me think of other aspects of life, have you noticed that we are always faced with these types life changing decisions everyday; swiss army or hummer eau de toilet, brown or burgondy belt, converse weapons or nike acg shoes, cereal or tumms, grey bluejays hat or black bluejays hat, led zepplin or dctalk. when making decisions of this importance i like to flip a coin, the only problem was my four sided coin is in ottawa, so then flashing back to senior kindergarden i remembered how we solved these critical problems on the playground and i resorted to the tried and true eeny-meeny-miney-mo method, and the tiger i cought by the toe was my childhood favorite rootbeer. cheers.

hahaha well all i have to say is, "the tiger i caught by the tail was my childhood favorite root beer" is a brilliant final sentence to an all around brilliant post... though i never pictured root beer as being that rude to the other flavours... i can't imagine they're actually a waste of time... anyway... bye

wow, i feel sorry for the rest of them, but happy for the rootbeer since it is indeed the worlds gretest pop. now i feel sorry for all the choices you have to make..... i'd give you a sympathy hug, but that's just plain weird.

Shayna took the words right out of my mouth: hummer (for obvious reasons Matt); brown belt; I'd go for the Nikes; cereal; black jay's hat and of course dc talk. I'll vouch for your crazy obsession with root-beer and will acknowlege my complete aversion to it. As for your four-sided coin, thanks for leaving it here! It's been a great help ;)

matt, i think what im going to do is stop posting on my space, and just start posting any "blogs" i write on your comment section. then i'll get more discussion. hahaha. my only comment on your blog for today is that i don't think that those decisions are life changing...converse or nike? grape or crush? lol! what are you going to do when you have to decide what to do next year?! or who you'll marry? but then I guess we've got God's help with that! cheers!

Jack,
Comparing cars to blogs, it's like you've upgraded from an Echo (like anyone except Dan would actually drive one of those) to an Audi. Another success! I laughed, I cried, I drank a cream soda.

It used to be Hires huh? well, I learned something new again today. I can understand why the deilemma was so tough for you, grape, orange and root beer all have their wonderful, refreshing times. Not cream soda though, thats just for perverts. I wish i had a rainbow pack right now (minus of course the pervert cream sodas). All I have is my Fruitopia which I got on sale for 99 cents! talk about a BAR-GOON!

Ok, call me a little uninformed- or maybe just american, but is "rainbow pack" a term that most people recognize at first glance? I know the combination you are referring to from my experiences with student council bbqs (thanks to Matt for presenting the wonderful options and charging $1.00 a can...) I never knew that the assortment actually had a title.
